Subject: Petition for Autism units in Australian schools
Dear Friends,
Autism Advisory and Support Service (AASS) have been contacted by many parents in the past few months with grave concerns that their children with Autism are not receiving an education suited to their needs. Some parents have been forced to homeschool their children and some children are only allowed to attend school for up to two hours per day. Many children are being suspended from school for displaying behaviours that are simply manifestations of their Autism. Please help these parents by signing your name and adding your address to the attached petition and returning it to us by email. We encourage you to forward this to as many friends and family Australia wide as possible. This is something that affects us all, both short term and in the long run.
Thank you in advance for your support,
